From teacher to student, and back again. Janice was born and raised in the Brisbane area – East coast of Australia and watched her father renovate and sell properties. Once qualified as a primary school teacher, Janice did try her hand at property in Australia, but as she explains, the market and property investing philosophy down under is very different from the UK.

Having married a Lancashire lad, Janice brought her young family to live in Burnley which is where her true property education began. She started buying buy-to-lets and then small HMOs, which became her specialty as an investor and a letting agent. Janice now plans to take her extensive knowledge and experience back home to Australia and start a HMO portfolio back in the sun.
